All I know is I'm ten times better at jumping correctly or standing in the right place in Super Mario 3D Land, than I am in Super Mario 3D World. So I take guess the 3D effect actually is pretty 'impactful' to me. More often than not, when playing a console game, I'm thinking things like "This stupid mistake wouldn't have happened on 3DS". I agree it doesn't make or break the system, no, and it isn't the true identity of the system because it definitely is all about the games, but I certainly hope Nintendo doesn't axe the feature for their 9th Gen handheld.
