I agree on all fronts, although the open question is just how many JRPGs are going to be made this generation overall...

It's going to be very interesting. Even with major success a lot of publishers are having with mobile, I still think there's a place for console games. For every major success, there's been a major flop, so I don't think any major publisher will revert to backing the platform exclusively. Surprisingly, I think Namco will be one of the PS4's biggest supporters in a few years as their mobile RPGs have flopped for the most part.
