Can someone tell me how much money did Naughty Dog lose by not publishing the Last of Us on Xbox 360? Cuz basically the same theory applies there, right?

Naughty Dog has been a Sony partner/owned company for quite a longgggggggg time. They were partners in the 90's and their vision for gaming is kind of intertwined. What Naughty Dog does represents Sony.

But they're still exclusive to PS3/PS4. And that's the point. There's so much discussion and analyzing of the Titanfall exclusive agreement and how Titanfall fails because it's limited to Xbox One, PC, and 360, yet that makes no sense historically. For decades we've seen sucessful console exclusives. Halo, Gears of War, Uncharted, Last of Us, etc. The list goes on for decades.

Can we just stop talking about it? Accept the fact that Titanfall is exclusive to MS and look forward to the sequel, which I can't imagine will be locked to MS again.

The only reason its Titan Fall is because EA published it. Had this thread been earlier it would probably be about Ryse (edit: which MS published I believed so its not exactly comparable), since DR is typically "exclusive" to Xbox and Forza is owned by MS. The question is more about how EA is affected, and how this will affect 3rd party relations with MS in general, e.g. more multiplats; less exclusives, thus is it better for MS to buy/develop studios then continue purchasing publishing rights, I mean the fact that TitanFall can even go to PCs shows that they are losing their grip.

Microsoft only publishes the first Dead Rising every generation to keep the franchise "seeming" as a MS franchise. Capcom isn't doing so well right now, so MS shouldn't be playing games with the amount of profits they bring in. They need to start making games for themselves. The next Dead Rising much like last gen will be multiplat. Capcom might be going the way of THQ this gen. Their profits are not looking good.
