No there isn't.

People who watch the Nintendo E3 coverage see the ND for E3. Its one and the same.

I seriously don't understand why you think less people would watch a video directly from Nintendo than a live broadcast on stage directly from Nintendo.

If you feel less people knew about the info from last E3, that's because less people cared at the time. WiiU was already a lame product in most people's eyes and everyone was focused on MSony.

I know on here and GAF and other sites, the info and reaction was the same as any E3.

No.

I'm talking about potential buyers...

Anedoctal evidence... my coworks all knows and talk about what happened with all consoles at E3 but nothing about Nintendo Direct... you see what the issue here? Nintendo Direct aim the own Nintendo user base... not new or potential buyers.

E3 sells consoles... Nitendo Direct not.

It is a almazing service for the Nintendo fan base but not to create new members for it own fan base.

It is pretty clear... Moms in US knows about Nintendo E3 because every big newspapper do big coverage but knows nothing about Nintendo Direct because it is aim a different audience.

So Nintendo Direct just didn't sell console to new potential buyers.

Nintendo last year lost a lot os sales because they didn't have a proper E3... eveybody talks about E3 (even casuals)... nobody talks about Nitnendo Direct unless it is a part of Nintendo fan base.
