Well I'll give this example, by asking which one would help more.
Super Mario 3D World or Super Mario 3D Land on Wii U?
Mario Kart 8 or Mario Kart 7 on Wii U?
In a short version, it would not help much.
Edit: Looked at it in the wrong way. It would help.
Super Mario 3D World + Super Mario 3D Land > Super Mario 3D World
