Seeing as you have gotten many great recommendations of retail titles (you should get MH3U btw), I'll recommend an eshop title. Little Inferno. Rather cheap game (there are sales from time to time as well for the game) and it's very special. I can't recall playing anything like it before, but the feeling simply can't be explained. I think some felt it was boring or pointless though, so it might not be your cup of tea. And it's also a game that is best played while it snows outside. :)
