That's the whole point- he wouldn't insult Nintendo as 1) he'd get sacked 2) he'd suggest great vulnerability in Nintendo right now

Well I know, and I have full respect for him as well, but he didn't have to insult Nintendo or suggest vulnerability for the joke to work. Could have had a PR sound to it at the very least, rather than sounding like someone on an internet forum. I mean the point of an April Fools joke is to come up with something plausible, however unlikely, and make it seem authentic. Although from the comments, it looks like there actually were a few people that were fooled...
