What so petty about staying consistent and reminding people of it? Maybe Nintendo would say something to if they actually paid attention to what the competiton was doing instead of: 

“It’s all about the games. The competitive systems have announced their launch lineups. I’m allowed to say ‘Meh,’” Fils-Aime said.

Paying attention to the competition and being petty are two different things.  There are a lot of things Nintendo could be doing better, and I just don't think petty insults should be on that list.

And it's not about me being "sensitive," whatever that's supposed to mean.

That's besides the point. Ultimately, the "severity" of the comments are subjective, however I fail to see how one could claim that Sony and MS behavior during this 2013 was "petty" while at the same time Nitendo's was "mature". The "jabs" Sony made at Microsoft, you know the ones they made without even mentioning their names, are somehow more severe and assholish compared to the cordiality of Nintendo? Sorry I don't buy it.
