Do you think Nintendo regrets the announcement of Super Smash Bros. 4 for 3DS ?

As much as i love my 3DS smash bros is, in my eyes more of a console franchise. I shall be buying the Wii U version, big screen, HD graphics etc. I dont think Smash suits the smaller screen (i could be wrong though).
