I loved the game, a lot of people did, you should get over it. I'm sure the next metroid game will be amazing. There is good chances it come from Retro.

I know I'm probably going to come off as a dick for asking this, but why? How could you love that game? I'm not trying to be antagonistic here. I genuinely can't understand how someone could enjoy an experience like that one. Especally as a Metroid game.

And "a lot" of people hated the game. Very few of the already few people that played the game enjoyed it.

And honestly, I'd only want Retro to make another Metroid game if it wasn't another first person Prime game. I loved those games, but I'm done with them. Make something new.

In the game's defense*, the gameplay was pretty damn fun.  It could have been great as a new IP.  For anyone that doesn't care that much about the Metroid franchise, I can see having some fun with it while ignoring all the stuff that the fans worry about.

On the other hand, if you are a Metroid fan then yes, the game was pretty awful.

*I'm not even sure why I am defending it.  It doesn't deserve to be defended.
