That was a different time. The Gamecube didn't make a loss did it? The SW seemed to sell quite well, the hardware definitely so.

Well the Wii U isn't being sold at a loss any longer though either right and earlier in its life it only needed the buyer to pick up 1 game to become profitable, so as i see it yes the Wii U may be selling lower then the other 2 but profit is still profit right? Throw the 3DS into the mix and i can't see Nintendo doing anything dramatic.
I do wonder why software sales are much lower then the Gamecube though...

Do you have a source for that? Last time I heard it was still making a loss, and this "buy one game" ect rubbish does not negate a loss leading strategy.

No source i sorta just figured because as time goes on hardware costs go down and in a year and a half i would think costs would have dropped quite abit by now but that's just my opinion not facts. Maybe i should have added that to my last post, sorry about that.
