3DS sales are pretty soft honestly, the PSP compartively in its third Feburary on market (NPD) sold 243k, the 3DS looks like it did about 160k. No point in comparing to the DS as that's just unfair at this point. Nintendo probably doesn't feel like crowing too much about it. People who don't think the handheld business isn't absolutely being rocked by the smartphone/tablet rise are in pure denial, 3DS + Vita combined can't even sniff prime PSP numbers anymore. |
of course, imagine if there weren't smartphone/tablets? Anywayz 3DS has done enough, im thinking 3DS lifetime sales now (Worldwide) will be between 60mil-80mil. It really depends, nintendo can definitely give it a price cut/another model/etc. But in todays world HH wont be like they use to.
Vita is lucky it has Sony brand. I said this awhile back but people say nintendo no 3rd party this and that, then i look at 3DS and Vita support and despite in japan 3DS=15mil+ and Vita at (i think 2.2mil-2.5mil?) there are so many developers working on vita. Not trying to start a war but it doesn't matter if nintendo does well hardware wise.
