It's a sequel to a critically acclaimed game. Unless you explicitly didn't like the first or actively dislike the genre in general, I don't see why you wouldn't at least be paying attention.
A game doesn't have to herald the proverbial second coming to be worthy of your attention or to have a chance of being an excellent game.
