Game changer... you need to try first to see.

which is a problem in of itself.

given how dumb that thing looks i imagine a ton of people will refuse to even try it.

When word starts spreading of how good it is those people will eventually have to try it. It's as intuitive as motion controls but with a whole extra level of immersion.

If it's that great I hope it will, but it will be an hard fight. Really, for most people it's really a nerd 80's dream that failed so many times, so it's kind of laughable. You don't even see it anymore in SF movies. I remembered this thing and just felt nostalgic.

I'm very unsure also about the Wife Acceptance Factor. Just watching an anime with an headphone for an hour makes me asocial and wierd at home. I can't even think about a full VR set, kids, and TV getting crazy about the device "They play Doom on this asocial device. DOOM !!! We are all Doomed !".

Anyway I will not be one of the first buyers, so please make it mainstream ;)

That's a problem but it might also work somewhat in modern VR's favour. The technology has moved on so far since the 80s that it'll come as a pleasant shock to people when they first try the new consumer devices.

@ bolded

I'll try, lol.
