Darc Requiem said: This where we disagree. I view the PS3 as being in the N64 of this generation. The arrogant market leader pushes their agenda forth despite what developers and consumers think. That was the N64 and that currently is the PS3. The fact that the PS2 outsells the 360 and PS3 doesn't bother given where each console is in its respective life cycle. In fact, the only reason I think that bullet point is brought up is because for months Sony fans would retort that the "360 can't even outsell the PS2, the PS3 will kill it." Sony has lost all of their leverage when it comes to the PS3. They underdelivered at launch at this had cost them a great deal in sales IMO. The PS3 hype machine was full bore before launch, but Sony lacked the units to capitalize on it. Gamers were running out and buying the PS3 based on some romanticized image of what they thought it would be. Now that its out and so far hasn't done anything to distance itself from the 360. All of that prelaunch hype has bite them in the rear. Third party developers making the PS3 their primary platform just doesn't make sense at the current time. The PS3 has two competitors that are not only ahead of the PS3 but they are actually building a bigger lead with each day.
I tend to agree with Darc. The PS3's a great machine and has good potential, but with the hype disappearing and the bad publicity, it's going to have to do some major persuading to get the kind of following that PSX did.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
