When you consider the fact that M$ only has a presence in 2/3s of the markets that Sony does, and the fact that one of those markets has been heavy Sony territory for 3 generations now, is it really surprising that the PS3 eventually overtook the 360?
The more interesting stat is that despite Sony dominating for 2 consecutive generations, they still lost North America to M$ by nearly a 2-1 margin this past gen.
