It could become a hot ticket item if the porn industry gets behind it. Screw video games, lol.
In that sense it's to its advantage that Occulus is a PC-centric/open platform company by nature and this is not something being kept under lock and key by Nintendo or Sony or MS ... because that would limit it to just game applications that adhere to the console maker's strict definition of it.
