Warner seem to be pretty staunch WiiU supporters, putting out Lego, Injustice and Batman games, but it seems the new Batman is PS4/XB1/PC only. So is this the end of support from Warner outside of the Lego videogames?

The other two question marks left now are Ubisoft and Assassins Creed, and Activision and Call of Duty.

It's pretty obvious WiiU will always get Just Dance, Skylanders and Rayman. But could this be the last year of annual core support for the WiiU?

No, they're just shifting to the 8th generation. They are dropping Wii U as they are dropping PS3 and X360.

So far we had mostly cross gen titles. Now we will start seeing more and more 8th gen games.

Therefore, I speculate that Assassin's Creed will also eventually move to the 8th gen while Call Of Duty may continue cross gen (once the 7th gen titles came also to Wii).
