Nintendo fans who are seriously still in denial about this need to get over it already.

A 33 watt machine is not going to output graphics similar to PS4/X1 unless its running on fairy dust and magic.

Nintendo does not want to make that type of machine, that's all there is to it.

wii u is not a 33 wat machine, not that it changes anything from this (now old) excuse of watt consume. Wii U also showed that it can hold it's own with stuff like X, mario kart 8, bayonetta 2...

The Wii U isn't as powerful as the X1 or PS4. Not even close. Its electrical consumption is a fraction of the X1 or PS4, which is simply a fact. Sure it can generate some decent graphics. So can the PS3 and X360 ... The Last of Us still looks very nice today.

Nintendo has not designed a console to be competetive graphically with other consoles since the GameCube. That's just their philosophy with the Wii brand ... small console size, low electrical consumption, something a tad more powerful than the previous generation. These are design choices not coincidences.

Mario Kart 8 isn't the mind blower that some people make it out to be either ...  I played it at E3, honestly I felt in motion Mario 3D World is the better looking game though. There's no anti-aliasing going on in MK8 at all. Bayonetta 2 and Mario 3D World were the best looking games at their booth, though MK8 was nice.
