Wow so they not only gave the middle finger to US early adopters but rubbed it in by announcing it a couple months before the console was even out? Wow what dicks. I'm sure a fan base as loud and demanding and independent as Sonys was all up in arms over that? Oh wait I heard not a peep. Funny how that works.

You're deliberatly being facetious and are simply incredulous to my argument. But that's alright, I will continue to breakdown your foundation until you either realize its made of cardboard or until you fall threw, whatever works for you. Why would consumers be mad at others recieving consolation? Furthemore, those in Japan couldn't buy a Japanese ps4 before the Febuary, so its not even an issue concerning early adopters. Buying a Playstation 4, when Japan was allowed to get one, didn't get you Knack.

From your POV something like consolation must seem totally foreign to you so allow me to elaborate: When a company fcks up, they apologize in the form of added consoloation rather than just fixing the problem because they value their customer's support.

As a consumer, why do I care that Sony released the PS4 late in Japan? As a consumer, I see Buyer A getting a free game bundled with the console while I got nothing. If this was something that would bother me, I would be bothered whether it was Company A (MS) or Company B (Sony) doing it. What you're trying to say is fans should be pissed at Company A (MS) but hey guys relax its perfectly logical and cool guys relax! when it comes to Company B.

I understand consolation perfectly fine, seems you are confused on the whole "fucking up" part though. As a consumer I wouldn't expect extra shit if a console released late in the US. When Sega or MS gave me a few broken consoles I didn't demand anything extra. When Sony repeatedly charged my credit card for stupid services I never signed up for via PSN, I never demanded any extra reimbursement. Just now an hour ago Whataburger forgot my daughters chicken strip basket. I noticed about halfway home. I turned around and went back and got it. I didn't ask for any free cookies or a free drink or a refund. I couldn't imagine living life like that, looking for whatever handout I could get any time a company "wronged" me.

I paid a price for their product that at the time I deemed to be worth it. If something better comes along (like oh idk it ALWAYS DOES in consoles) then I have no one to blame but myself, not MS/Sony/Nintendo.

You're right. Nobody asked for it, Sony did it of their own accord because they actually value their customers. Have some self-respect for once, companies are supposed to serve consumers, not the other way around.

A consumer who actually valued their investment would take offense. If sony fcks up with my psn wallet, I will be on customer service within the minute because they had better refund me or their losing a customer. And they will, because they know they will lose a customer.

You're a consumer god dammit, your money has value!

I'm not excusing Sony and I'm not attacking Microsoft, this is about you and all the other people that have been letting MS get away with. They are a company, they will do whatever they can get away with. Its the consumer's responsibility to hold them accountable. You continue to defend MS when I'm critizing you're lack of action, and you're proving my point that all you do is get stepped on by MS.

I'm already paying the price for your inactivity. Now I have to pay for online because its ok for MS to do it. So I will have to get mad for you if you wish to simply consume rather than be informed and have self-worth as a customer, because injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Yep Sony always does everything by the costumer, thats why their tv's and computers are tanking. That's why I will never buy any of their products anymore because they treated me great.

This isn't about Sony or Microsoft.

Its about gamers. Hold Microsoft accountable. The illusion of competiton has gamers divided amongst each other about things as meaningless as console purchases. Unless Microsoft or Sony is using money to improve their value to me as a customer, then I don't give a damn whether or not they profit.

How could Microsoft let Sony buy Gaikai? Why does Xbox have to share Azure servers with Microsoft's other services, why has Microsoft sunk so much money into the Kinect 2.0, only to have 2-3 games developed for it? Whenever a thread gets made about how Sony is going to go bankrupt, fans like to joke about how MS is not going to go bankrupt, so what? Its not like they are making the illumiroom cheaper or dumping money into optimizing their dev kits. How can MS be the most capable and not outperform the competition?

But then again? Why would they? Microsoft could increase the XBL subscription and their consumer's would rush to their defense. I'm glad PS is whooping, Xbox's ass with these launch sales, because Xbox's consumer's sure as hell aren't going to keep them in line, its only because the PS was wary enough to watch the reaction of the gamer's who realized what Xbox was doing.

But I also, know its still early in the game, and anything can happen. And if Xbox finds the sweet spot with Titanfall or pricecut, I already know where the console gaming industry is headed.

Keep joking about how Sony Playstation Fans (especially when I hold no allegiance to any platform) are getting mad for Microsoft Xbox fans, when you don't realize how fucking sick that is. How J_allard couldn't understand why a company should compensate consumers for their fuck up, and instead asked me how it could be done. You mean to tell me that a gesture like 1000 Gamerpoints is to taxing on Microsoft? Something as simple as, "Hey, we value are fans and appreciate their buisneess here is some free games" rather than, "It looks like people are questioning our value proposition again. We'll just throw em some fable 1(a great game btw) and some old XBLA games and then they'll shut up."

Where is your sense of self-worth?

The only reason I'm even addressing this issue with you is because you to are a gamer and as such you deserve to stand up for yourself. And every single time, you let anyone of the big 3 or publishers get away with it, your harming the entire ecosystem. I am already dealing with the effects of it now. I didn't have Live on the Xbox, because I couldn't afford it, I didn't have it on the 360 because I didn't support it, and now I have to pay for PS+ because nobody said hey "Xbox if your gonna make us pay for online, at least give us some extra value and incentive."
