But I'm not even arguing about how bad MS is. I'm talking about how much tolerable their fan base is of what Xbox does. Xbox stopped being the underdog with the 360. Excuses are made for days. 

If Sony announced DRM in February, I can guarantee that the internet would be lit up in outrage. MS waited till preorders to flip their drm switches.

Until Xbox sells a console above 100 million, they haven't earned the right to be arrogant, so just because you can draw parallels to Sony (2005), you have to realize the underlying bullsh1t that's been there from the beginning.

Sorry but the DRM excuse is bullsh. Unless you're implying Sony had no idea that their security was so crappy (remember, the hackers actually mocked them for how shitty and simplistic it was). And in that case they are still equally as guilty simply due to ignorance and negligence. Either way it's irrelevant to what you said. Just think about it logically. What will you see a bigger shit storm about on the Internets, an issue with hardware that happened very early in the 360's life cycle (with a small userbase) in which ALL users are affected be it online or offline, versus PSN hack which only affected people who connect to the Internet and happened when PS3 had a much higher userbase?

You can continue to say whatever you want, I will continue to remind you that you're just stating an obvious "no duh" line of logic that applies to MS just as much as it applies to Sony and Nintendo. And the Internet was up in plenty of outrage when MS announced DRM. There was even this whole movement around it. And please, don't compare anyone to 2005 era Sony arrogance. The fact that the Xbone did a complete 180 from the reveal pretty much proves that's a load of bull.

1. Its common knowledge that is impossible to make a hack proof network. Furthermore, there was no way they could've predicted the scale of the hack because the PS4 hadn't been invented yet, and as we all know, the ps4 is a time machine. But Microsoft knew exactly what they we're putting into those 360s.

3. I didn't compare Xbox to Sony (2005) intially, sales did. I was just countering that MS has not seen the level of success that would warrant that kind of arrogance.

4. I never said that Xbox has done the worst things to the industry, just that Xbox Fans are the most tolerant of the Fanbases of their own systems, which is why Xbox thought they could get away with a lot of the sh1t they tried to pull.

5. The fact that they announced the policies at all publically without much clarification, and then basically confirmed many of the rumors, is indicative of a greater underlying problem that I have noticed creeping in since the transition from the OG to the 360.

6. Like I said, if the Xbox ever gets a majority marketshare close to that of the ps2, console consumers will be rendered into nothing but proliterait sheep.
