aye there is a good few posts of people saying they like the moderators who do a fine job here, other than now and again when they get a ban / warning, then the moderators on here are really bad and need to change their ways. I think the mod team on here is a group of no nonsense people, there is no bias here but they don't take any shit or allow it to start. I wouldn't be a part of the community tbh if they didn't moderate like this (because one of my first forum posts was replied with "fuck off" and that person got banned, so I seen that didn't go down here)

Agreed, I think the mods do an overall great job. Many times, when someone complains about a moderation or ban and it seems a tad harsh on the surface, it is often about past history and a tendency towards a certain behavior or language, this is a great way of working, one should not moderate all members on the exact same premises. Someone who has been banned twenty times and has a tendency to resort to peronal insults (as an example), should not get the same benefit of doubt as someone who lashes out once in frustration in an otherwise clean posting history, and this is something that a lot of the repeat offenders seem not to get. I don't see a lot of senior members complaining about moderations, but a lot of newer ones seem almost shocked that the mods won't let people get away with the same shit that other forums allow and the ones who "leave the site because of the mods" are usually the ones who find it appaling that they can't post mostly flaming comments, insults, unfounded nonsense with a nasty tone without getting moderated.

Getting banned every month for the exact same thing? The problem is very, very likely with you and the mod, this is especially true since most of these ban-hammer boomerangs are usually moderated by different mods for their infractions.

This cannot be repeated often enough; it's not hard to stay un-banned, I've never once been banned in 6,5 years (two warnings though, but the last one was years ago) and I know a few other members with the same record.
