I would never use amazon as a major indicator of how well something is selling, but what I am saying is last time it took days for amazon to sell stock but globally the PS4 still outsold everything. Having stock that takes 2 or 3 days to sell out means nothing right now... the context is useful but only when there is lots of stock sitting on shelves for weeks etc.

I don't know if you mean available for weeks, or if existing stock isn't moving.

Obviously, if the same console is sitting on a shelf at retail for weeks, that's really bad, but this is rarely the case when it comes to consoles. Stock goes out, more stock comes in from the distribution warehouse on a regular basis.

When it comes to a high demand item, it's generally a good sign to see lots of stock constantly moving onto and off shelves to consumer hands.

Of course when they're never out of stock at any decent sized retail outlet that can stock more than a few units at a time, that could mean anything from production rates have either met with current consumer demand to an indicator of stock glut due to overproduction/distribution.

I'm over generalising because i'm tired :) but I'm just trying to say that the comments about hype is dwindling and its all because of Titanfall, well its a little too early to state that when well PS4 has got to meet demand at some point and 2. It went straight in at No 1 above titanfall...  etc etc.
