I still think 3rd parties would still shun it. Personally i dont think Wii U is the problem, it is a decent piece of hardware and achieves what it sets out to do. Its perception that is Nintendos biggest problem, if Nintendo want to get back in the mix then they have to do what they have done on 3DS, pump out quality 1st party titles one after the other. Many people cite lack of 3rd party support as one of Wii Us biggest problems, yet arguably Nintendo have virtually carried the 3DS on the back of its 1st party titles as 3rd party support is also pretty scarce. Not supporting Wii in its last 2 years also may have lost a lot of trust, whilst Sony, although they had a slow start supported PS3 untill the very end, thus earning trust in their brand.
Nintendo need to increase output, great games will help sell systems and more importantly dont give up on the system, keep supporting it and gaining trust among gamers once again.
