Did the WIi do long term damage to Nintendo's home console brand?

For me personally? Definitely. I was a Nintendo only gamer from NES to Gamecube. With the Wii my Interest in Nintendo sunk dangerously near to zero. I bought the Wii, but I didn't like it all that much and switched to PS3 eventually. Today I only havr a 3DS and only use it every now and then when some gamr comes out. Next-Gen? PS4 since launch, that got me covered.

I have no idea if it had a bad impact in the big picture. But Nintendo lost at least one fan with the Wii and that would be myself. That's all I can tell for certain.
