Yup. They will cut the price in August, after the Mario Kart 8 boost fizzles out.
I don't think there is another traditional Nintendo console coming anyway ... the next "system" will be all mobile parts, the "console" will just be the mobile chip without the LCD screen (like PS Vita). Nintendo is not going to bother spending money on a full blown console again when the audience for it is only 15-20 million unless they have a monstrous new gimmick they are sure will work (which is extremely difficult to come up with).
