Ps1, Ps2, and Wii were probably passing savings on to the consumer for most of those. And GC was selling at a profit from the start. For a loss leading console like Wii U (since the first ones being sold at the new price would be the biggest losses) it would make sense, for fiscal resons, to have it in the three months i listed
