It's all the WiiU's fault and Nintendo's lack of vision and marketing.

Metroid would have filled a void for first-person action games on the Wii U. DK is the third first-party release that is a platformer. Even if Metroid didn't help the Wii U very much, it would most likely help it more than DK.
