The sales are currently disproving your theory. The WiiU had an abysmal January 2013, but it's gotten plenty of big first party releases since then with Pikmin 3, 3D World, and Wind Waker HD. Yet even with a bigger lineup and cheaper price it was actually down YOY in January. Still selling worse than it did last year.  If Donkey Kong isn't moving units now it's not going to do so next week or next month. The hardware is not going to see gradual increases every week, that doesn't make any sense. Mario Kart and Smash Bros are the only ones that will sell systems, and Mario Kart is 3 months away.

In the face of the PS4 and the XBox1, the fact the the Wii U HASN'T entirely dropped off the map also says contrary to your statement.  I think if the Wii U didn't have the already solid library, it would have pulled XBox360-in-Japan sales.  With the solid and growing library, it still remains "relevant", especially now that it looks like it might have secured 2nd place for 2014 instead of the "distant 3rd" people were claiming (this is looking at the XBox1's exclusives and the Wii U's exclusives this year and looking at the WW sales gap between the two).

So do you have any numbers backing up your statement? The WiiU is still selling worse than the XBO every week and nearly a third of what the PS4 is selling. There is no way WiiU is going to be the second best selling console this year, I'm talking about yearly sales not LTD. If the solid growing library isn't helping WiiU now then it's certainly not going to help them in the next 3 months where there are virtually no games coming out. Your idea that the WiiU is going to see week on week increases thanks to Donkey Kong is ludicrous. PS4 and XBO owners will get big exclusives next month while the WiiU gets absolutely nothing.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
