pretty much this.

at the end of november major nelsons masterful spin of "fastest selling console" we saw a lot of pro MS articles.

at the end of 2013 were we saw 3.9 vs 4.2 we saw a lot of articles saying things were in a "virtual tie".

at the end of january when ps4 outsold xbone 2:1 in january we so a bunch of "it's too early to tell but..." articles.

real doom articles won't appear until the Q1 shipment figures are out which frankly was the same with wiiU.  it wasn't until the disastrously low Q1 shipment numbers that the mass media started dooming the wiiU.

Soooo essentially we gotz til April before the articles come pouring in lol


well, depending on how Q1 shipments go.  xbone will be compared to ps4 for sure.  if xbone is dramatically below ps4 than yeah, i would expect the media will pick up on that story.
