Will Vita get a successor? It's not doing that bad in Japan

In what world are expectations for Nintendo's handheld the same as Sony's handheld? Of course there's a double standard because expectations for the two devices are completely different.

well to be fair all the doom and gloom wen 3ds first arrive and the waiting for vita kills your statement. Just saying

That said its not fair that 3DS+Vita are doing supposedly bad cuz of its predecessor! 

The 3DS sold like shit when it first launched. It started selling well after it had a price cut and some bigger games.  Both are down from their predecessor, and people expected Nintendo to at least match or top the DS. This is why 3DS is held to a higher standard because much more is expected of it (from its precedessor and how well it sold the past few years) where the expectation for Vita sales is death and doom. Anything better than dead is surprising.

Would love to see a sane person that predicted Vita > 3DS in sales.
