People know the risks of early adoption, and electronics are probably the worst sector for this kind of stuff.
Only thing the article gets right is calling it desperate. Last I heard PS4 was already 200k ahead despite stock issues (Amazon isn't getting new bundles until March 25, which is ridiculous) whereas the X1 has never had any shortages in the UK. This might give them a bump, but I'd be surprised if it changed anything long term.
