Minecraft is garbage, like 99% of Indie games.

In their quest to stand out from the crowd, they become overreliant on gimmicky gameplay and graphics, cloying pretentiousness, and amateurish game design.

Indie games that would be laughed out of the house if they came from a major dev get a free pass because just cos they're "indie", and steadily they're lowering the standard of video games.

Hahaha

Minecraft has fantastic word of mouth. Its genre defining. Its easily accessible to anyone. Its a brilliant videogame and thats why it continues to sell so well on every platform its released on. For anyone to think Minecraft is garbage, they would have to lack any kind of creativity. 42 Million and counting baby, haters gonna hate.

In the quest to stand out from the crowd, theyre succeeding. Thats what matters. People like these games. Theyre not being hyped up beyond all measure by throwing money at the likes of IGN or multi-Million Dollar advertising campaigns... Theyre selling on word of mouth. The gimmicky gameplay is part of whats selling them because theyre different from everything else on the market. Theyre different from the Yearly Mario, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed.

Theyre fresh. Theyre worth the asking price, unlike a ton of $60 games. They offer unique new experiences... And most important of all - The consumer loves them.
