3rd Parties just can't compete with Nintendo's software. If you go to the store and look at 3DS games, are you going to pick Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart, SM3DL, ALBW, or Animal Crossing, or are you going to pick Sonic Lost World, FIFA, or some other 3rd party title. Xbox barely releases any 1st party software anymore except for Halo and Forza so it is easy to compete there, and most of Sony's 1st party titles don't sell very well either.
