$55 (CAD) x $0.90 (USD) = $49.5 (USD)
CAD = Canadian Dollar
USD = United States Dollar
Since the Canadian dollar is currently only worth 90 cents American they changed the price. If you're not from Canada you're basically paying the same price since the credit card conversion would be around the same as if you paid $50 USD.
