It's simple. The Wii U can win this gen if Jack Tretton is kidnapped and lobotomized, then returned with the brain of a 20th century gaming icon whose strategy is a poor fit for Sony Computer Enertainment. This will eventually reduce PS4 sales, leading to the Wii U's eventual rise to first place.
And if you think THAT is convoluted, you should see some other plots people have hatched for saving the Wii U.
