What the hell.

Seems like a lot of people wanted a 3D or Metroid game from Retro and it is reflecting the score.

I'm one of the biggest 3D Metroid fans out there, but I'm ok with them creating a 2D platformer even if it isn't my favorite genre. I do hope they make a 3D game next though... People should judge this game as a 2D platformer, it's not trying to be something else. 

Yeah, it seems like they're applying some weird criteria here. Besides; most 2D platformers don't translate all that well to full 3D; Mario is more the exception than the rule.
