Naah, there's no pressure. I've been reading and learning about all this stuff since the end of 2013. 

Well, if you can convince me to get XY before all of those games I listed, feel free to do it.

Alright, I'll give it a shot.  MK8 and X aren't even out yet and WWHD is just a remake.  As for the other two, I can't comment.  At that point it's a matter of your interests.  Mario v. Zelda v. Pokemon.  I assume Pokemon is towards the top because you are considering going competitive.
