I wouldn't say the X1 "bombed". If you want to see bombs go see the Wii U, Vita, or even the 3DS' January numbers.
141k for $500 machine in January is ok. Nothing to crow about but not necessarily the end of the world either.
Like the PS3, the price point in the main issue, if X1 was $399.99 sans Kinect, I think it's fair to assume its January numbers would be 200k+.
