No, that would be less than half of last year (around 140-150k for January). That's with Pokemon X/Y this year and the new cheaper 2DS model along with other software releases like Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion 2.
Handheld market is in huge trouble.
I think what's happening is every day more and more kids are getting introduced to/hooked on smartphone/tablet gaming ... it's eating the handheld business alive. Vita is completely dead in the West, 3DS is trying to fight the good fight, but it's being eaten up.
