I don't own either console but this has everything to do with the initial console reveals and E3. Xbox / Microsoft is now the anti-consumer brand, and Sony is where it's at.

Yeah, in an alternate reality where everyone and their grandma watches E3, maybe. All that matters now is what the consoles cost and what they are like. PS4 is cheaper, it has the WW brand power AND it is more powerful. It basically has everything going for it, not only E3.

I don't think you understand how E3 works. The idea is, you wow the geeks,media and hard core gamers at E3, and then those people spread the word. This trickles down and has an effect. PS4 was coined the "it" thing after that show by those people which means the majority of people who DON'T watch the show, will now spend the time leading up to launch reading/hearing how it's the next big thing. They then go out and want a PS4.

Sure...it is I who doesn't understand how E3 works when I watch it every year...
And we're still talking about E3 when that's not the reason for MS' bad reception. Many on here were actually saying MS "won" E3 due to revealing many new games there (while they revealed nothing really at their One reveal earlier).
I also already said that E3 and other big media related events can have an effect, but what I am really saying is that E3 is not the only reason for PS4's success...Sony did everything right for this launch and it shows in the numbers. They clearly learned from their PS3 mistakes.

I didn't mean to imply that you don't know what you're talking about and I apologize if it came out that way. That wasn't my intention at all. And yes, Sony "figured it out". They're back in PS1/PS2 mode as a company. Let's hope for their sake they don't get too full of themselves publicly like they did during them middle of the PS2 era because that was their downfall.
