*mumbles under breath* haha what 3DS peak year?! (-80k from last year with a new game)...recent trend continues of new 3ds games with high opening weeks doing nothing for the 3DS.

Anywho, Famitsu also came out with their majority PS4 reviews...even Knack got at 70%, Yakuza at 39/40...look for the PS4 to do wonders in Japan. Hopefully Yakuza sales will propel 3rd parties in japan to finally get off the snide and start producing for the system.

Your username really fits you.  Not many people at all on this site claimed 2014 as its peak year.  Most said 2013.

Well I remember a lot of people disagreeing in one of my sales threads a few weeks back about it already having reached its peak (the 3DS vs. PSP sales one)

There's a difference here, though.  Some people may be disagreeing that the 3DS has reached its peak, but it also doesn't mean they think that this year is its peak year either.  I would imagine a lot of people want to remain hopeful that the 3DS can have a bigger year sometime.  Just because you see a trend doesn't mean it will always be that way.  Though if we want to go for what's most likely, the 3DS has reached its peak year.  What can be debated is how fast the drop off will be.  What we're seeing right now is not a good indicator since we have such a small sample for the year.
