Given Game's current approach towards Nintendo I try to preorder if I know I want retail on release day.
That said; I'm currently unsure on whether or not I want or can afford DKTF (hence no preorder), and am on the fence over whether Mario Kart and Smash Bros are going to be digital or retail purchases (pretty box and disc versus being able to play them minus hassle, always a plus for multiplayer titles).
By the same token though, X and Bayonetta 2 are certainly going to be retail purchases and I fully intend to preorder (but I'm currently waiting for the dates to be announced, c'mon Nintendo Direct...)
