Adding in even conservative Japanese numbers PS4 should start pulling ahead again. But even if it gets outpaced this year or next let's not act like it's written in stone that Wii will stay ahead. Remember there's still a lot of cross-gen right now. Once we get exclusively next-gen software and get some big exclusives coming we'll start to see PS4 gain steam. Wii may pass its pace this year or next but I'm confident, based on the lifecycle of past Playstation systems, that PS4 will peak later and sustain longer than Wii. Playstations traditionally build up and with PS3 there was a later peak. We're seeing even more support for 7th gen at the start of the 8th than we did for 6th at the start of 7th (most likely because of having 2 strong install bases rather than just PS2's to rely on and more old systems overall that are still viable). Even a title like Destiny or Watch Dogs that, even though it is ON current gen, will show off the capabilities of next gen systems both in network capabilities and graphical capabilities, will help push the next gen when people see it on a friend's new system. I know Resogun and BF4's bigger and prettier MP have already given my roommates the next-gen itch along with the DS4's improvements and even the UI and social structure.
