The PS4 is ahead of the Wii, launch aligned. We know that the Wii was a monster, sales-wise, for the first 3 years. The Wii will most probably pull ahead of PS4 at some point (though the PS4 will probably regain its position later in the console's life, when Wii sales plummeted). When do you think this will happen?

It will prob drop below around summer before the fall games hit before the shopping season. But as far as lifetime, who knows. Its hard to tell with so much competition now and coming up.

I think it'll happen in November. It's when Wii sales basically exploded.

PS4 will stay ahead.
Its doing better than Wii in the west and Japan is yet to launch.

I don't see it pulling 24m in a year like Wii did, so I think it'll be outsold for some time before regaining the 1st position.

Damnit, I voted before I factored in Japan launch. After the Japan launch I can't pick what's going to happen. For Sure Japan is going to give PS4 a big boost for a couple of weeks, but after that PS4 might drop back quite a bit.

But it should happen some time this year.

Time will tell. I hate that the site does not have graphs anymore. It fucks about with predictions and stuff. 

I think the PS4 will fall short this year. the Wii had an incredible first year if I recall right. But it'll surely regain its first place afterwards.
