Dude... NPD tracks the US, not the whole world. MS sold 1 million in 24h in 13 countries, Sony sold 1 million in 24h in NA alone, that should clearly show who sold their consoles faster in the US, if that's not enough for, then just look at vgchartz numbers.
That "fastest selling console" was nothing but a pathetic attempt at PR spin, they just took the numbers they sold in the US in November and divided them with the number of days the X1 had been on the market, to arrive at some weird average consoles sold per day number, which they then used to declare that they were the fastest. This makes no sense though since most PS4s and X1s were sold on launch day and black friday and not evenly over every day.
