Maybe if it was previous generations but by the looks of things somethings gotta go, they can't keep up two console. 

What will likely happen is a combined home console and handheld for next gen. A portable device that wirelessly connects to your TV and outputs atleast 1080p, the handhled is the controller itself. When you get sick of people off a tv or you need to go somewhere you just choose an option to go handheld, kind of like the Wii-U but done right. It'll solve both Nintendos and Sony's problem, Nintendo can't sell a home console but they can sell the shit out of a handheld and Sony can sell a home console like no other, but are having troubles lately in the handheld department.
