Sony will still sell their 100-150 million consoles. Nintendo will just better integrate their 3DS and Wii audiences into one and perhaps pick up a few more people, but the iOS/Android assualt on casuals will likely only get worse.

It doesn't matter, all their current woes will go away, this solves a plethora of urgent problems they've faced during console transition and Nintendo being the greatest publisher of dedicated gaming (in terms of sales and profit) just wins in the sickest possible way when combining it all in a seamless cross-platform scalable architecture.

I don't care about Sony when I say they win. They just win, there is no more having to bring down the price ridiculously or underpricing or needing 3rd parties. Nintendo will now be self-sufficient and that's all that matters to me. Their future is now secured as far as I'm concerned, despite the mobile assault people will never stop playing mario. They need good games, and that's something unique that Nintendo consistently provided over the past 30 years.

Umm I think you might be jumping the gun there, we have no idea if Nintendo's new QOL and dual console/handheld idea will even work. If they create a traditional handheld then they'll have to compete with smartphones and tablets again, if they going for the tablet-based approach then they'll annoy the core gamers. Nintendo has to tread lightly here. And I have absolutely no clue what's going on with that QOL stuff, I'm halfway expecting Pikachu on a suppository.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
