i think first off, both 360 and ps3 has bundled versions. many of them, in fact, and special editions and all that.

but more importantly, the games in wii play is consistent with the philosophy with the wii/wiimote and introduces simple games to the non-gaming public. it also already has the "wii" franchise to work with, a natural extension. and the wiimote does actually need some demo-like games to show some people what can be done--at least i found the wiiplay games to be mildly interesting.

360 clearly doesn't have this natural extension. the sixaxis could have based something off on its motion control, but it was never the philosophy that the ps3 was advancing. so a bundled game with a controller would be kind of an awkward product for those two consoles.

nothing stops them from cashing in, of course, but it actually seems to me to be good governance they're not.

the Wii is an epidemic.
