I do not agree. The first game had a more compelling atmosphere to me; the music was more emotive, there were more epic celestial backdrops as opposed to the blander blue skies in #2, colour palette leant more towards richer shades as opposed to the bright primary colours of #2, the hub was cooler, and the story/setup was more epic.
Plus, #1 was mind blowing for its time while #2 arriving years later had less of a wow factor.
Still the two best games of the 7th gen though.
